Dear CSA family,
With all the exciting holidays coming up, CSA will host a Children Holiday Exchange event during next Sunday, Oct 2nd from 12 noon to 1:20PM at Pike school.
Purpose of the event: to encourage children to use simple and practical Chinese to exchange unwanted goods from home with other things they like.
Details:
1. Children must be 17 years old or under to participate.
2. Children must use Chinese to trade: no need to be fancy. Simple sentence such as "我可以用xx换你的xx吗?"(May I exchange xx with your xx?) together with 你好(Ni Hao), 谢谢(thank you), 不客气(you are welcome), 对不起(sorry),etc. are all that needed.
3. Goods for exchange can be Halloween costumes, unwanted toys, books, little sport goodies, etc as long as they are in good condition. (Note: food can't be traded.)
4. Monetary trade is not allowed.
5. Up to five items for each child is recommended.
Parents are all welcome to the event but please leave the children to lead the conversation and trade!
