We hope you and your children had a wonderful and fulfilling summer!
We’re excited to welcome you back as Chinese School Andover officially begins the new semester tomorrow, Sunday, September 7th!
Please review the important updates below to help us kick off the semester smoothly:
--Class Schedule
• Chinese Classes begin at 1:40 PM
• Enrichment Classes begin at 3:30 PM (specific details will be shared by each teacher)
--Enrichment Class Start Dates
Starting Tomorrow, Sept. 7:
• Guzheng • Badminton • Drawing • Math • Children’s Dance
Starting Sept. 14:
• Social Media • Cubing (Rubik’s Cube) • Kung Fu • Chess • Volleyball • Python Programming
--Drop-off & Pick-up Reminders
To ensure student safety:
• An adult must remain on campus while children are in class.
• Parents should drop children off at the Cafeteria, where teachers will gather and escort students to classrooms.
• Teachers will arrive early and lead students to class in small groups—no need to wait for the entire class to arrive.
--First Day Special Notes
On the first day of class, parents should plan to stay about 10 minutes. Teachers will:
• Introduce the semester’s teaching plan, homework expectations, and classroom rules
• Elect a parent representative for each class—we welcome your participation!
--Bilingual & Lower Grade Students
Bilingual and lower-grade students (with parents) should first report to Community Room 125 for placement testing to confirm class assignments.
